How It Works

Physicians from ARA Health provide imaging interpretation for services provided at the hospitals and medical facilities we partner with. We are contracted with most major insurance providers; however, patients assume the responsibility of verifying benefits and/or limitations, as well as physician participation. If your insurance provider requires authorization for ER and/or outpatient visits, please obtain authorization before your appointment to ensure payment of your insurance claim. Patients are responsible for any services or portions of services not covered by insurance, so please verify and understand your benefits.

An Important Note

Please understand that ARA Health Specialists is a separate entity from Mission Health. While we do partner with Mission to provide healthcare and imaging services, we bill separately for the interpretations provided by our physicians. These specific services are still provided within the BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina Network.

If your service occurred on or after 7/01/2022, please pay online using our new system, Patient Notebook. An electronic copy of every bill from ARA Health is now in one location for you to review, organize, and pay online.
