ARA Health Specialists, located in the mountains of western North Carolina, is seeking a certified physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join its existing APs.  Responsibilities include performing fluoroscopy (including barium studies, myelograms, lumbar punctures, arthrograms, & placement of feeding tubes), CT/Ultrasound directed biopsies (including lung, liver, & thyroid), and other invasive procedures (drainages, chest tube placement). Clinic responsibilities, including pre-procedure and post-procedure assessments, are essential functions of this position.  Surgical experience, strong clinical abilities, and effective communication skills are required.  Previous radiology experience and NC licensure is preferred.  On-the-job training for familiarization with specific procedures will be provided.

Join our cohesive, collegial group of breast imagers! We are proud to be on the forefront of breast cancer screening and diagnosis, interpreting the full range of breast imaging in a patient-focused, compassionate manner. Modalities include tomosynthesis, automated breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM). Breast procedures include MRI, ultrasound, tomosynthesis and CEM guided biopsies. We employ a breast imaging advanced practitioner to help our patients understand their imaging/procedure recommendations,  biopsy results, navigate risk assessment, and to help our breast imagers network with referring providers in the community. We participate in weekly tumor boards and enjoy collaborating with our multidisciplinary teams. 

Position Details 

2 year partnership track, other employment models considered 
Majority of work in breast imaging (70%+) 
Occasional general radiology evening rotations, no overnight call
Approximately 7-9 general radiology weekends per year
Opportunities to add shifts for additional income if desired
